Property Management Team

The people on our property management team are our strongest asset to tenants and owners. Our human resources philosophies include a team approach to solving tenant and property problems and taking credit for our success in managing properties. We continue to grow and seek excellence in providing the best tenant services and management in Idaho Falls, Pocatello and surrounding areas through training and continuing education in property management.

Jill is our Office Manager. If you are calling our property management office it is likely that you will speak to Jill. She also does most of the rental marketing including pictures, video and listing rental properties on craigslist, our website, and all of our partner websites. Jill makes the Jacob Grant Property Management team stronger by continuing to keep us on track with our team philosophy. Whenever people hand out individual credit or blame, she is quick to keep reinforcing that we are all responsible for successes and failures of the team.

Dan is our Building  Manager.  His job includes scheduling all vendors to create quick turnovers to reduce vacancy, quality maintenance and cleaning, and competitive pricing from vendors.  Residents may meet or talk to Dan after they put in a request for a work order to help them troubleshoot a problem. He also takes part in move in and move out repairs and cleaning of our rentals.  As Dan doesn’t say a lot he lets his walk do his talk. We are so lucky to have Dan! It doesn’t matter how well or how fast repairs are completed, he continues to seek better and faster solutions to try to improve property management efficiency for our rental owners.

Personal: I was born and raised in Idaho Falls and attended Skyline High School. I worked at Lockwood Packaging for 6 years and then as a floor installer for 3 years before joining Jacob Grant Property Management in January of 2010. My wife, Lindy, and I were married in August of 2007. My hobbies include playing music, hunting, fishing, camping, and snowboarding.

Melanie serves as our Accountant. Melanie gives our property management team a no-nonsense “rubber meets the road” attitude. She grounds us and brings the reality of the numbers to our attention. Melanie has played a key role as we focus on the details of our web based software, electronic transfers and credit card payment. She has been invaluable in creating workflows that work for owners, tenants, and vendors.

Personal: I was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I am currently enrolled at Idaho State University as I work toward a teaching degree. My hobbies include riding my Harley, scrapbooking and taking trips.

I am the founder and currently serve as our property manager and business developer.  As an owner of real estate investment properties, it has been my desire, to find the best and most efficient way to manage rental properties.  Along the way, we have found other owners of real estate that have a like mind. I love to continue to learn. The Institute of Real Estate Management has accepted my application for Certified Property Manager Candidacy. In addition, I have enjoyed learning and taking classes through the National Association of Residential Property Management. These classes continue our reach for excellence.

Personal: I love to fly fish on the South Fork and enjoy hunting and fishing. I also love gardening and doing other home projects like building cabinets and laying tile. Most of all, I love to be with my active little sons and my wife. They are 3 and 1 and have plenty of personality to keep us on our toes.
